The exclusive Sericis Cepas Viejas Pinot Noir Rosé brings its touch of distinction to The Night of the Senses

El exclusivo Sericis Cepas Viejas Pinot Noir Rosé da su toque de distinción a La Noche de los Sentidos

Sericis Cepas Viejas Pinot Noir Rosé was the wine chosen to begin the Night of the Senses dinner on 2 May in the iconic Veles e Vents building at Valencia Marina

A select group of one hundred people attended the Night of the Senses that took place on 2 May in the iconic Veles e Vents building which is such a feature of Valencia Marina.

The event was much more than a high-level dinner, it was an original show devoted to the senses and inspired by the Silk Road – the medieval trading route across Asia to Europe. Attendees took an imaginary journey from east to west through four stories. There was plenty of music and dancing, among exotic aromas of spices, extra virgin olive oils, fine wines and a haute cuisine menu prepared by two well-known chefs.

Bodegas Murviedro has a strong connection with the Silk Road due to the past importance of the production of this valuable thread, and the fabrics made from it, in Valencia and Villa de Requena. That is why our most prestigious wine is La Casa de la Seda (which translates as the Silk House), aged at Murviedro’s Historic Winery. In this unique building, precious natural silk fabrics used to be woven on the upper floors, while wine was made in its underground caves. The entire Sericis range also refers to the silky touch these wines bring to the palate.

Sericis Old Vines Pinot Noir Rosé with Titaina toast

The dish specially created to accompany the Sericis Rosé was the “Titaina toast in Balansiya spices”. This starter was an interpretation of the classic dish Titaina which comes from the seaside districts of the city of Valencia. It consists of lightly fried tomato, roasted peppers, pine nuts, garlic and salted red tuna, all given a special touch by chef Rubén Fenollar.

It made a great combination with Sericis Cepas Viejas Pinot Noir Rosé, a rosé wine with a glamorous style noted for its refined profile. With its own essence and bright, pale pink colour, it is unlike any other rosé. It has a very fruity aroma with intense notes of red berries and dairy, and a lightly toasted background due to refining in French oak foudres. On the palate it is fresh, intense and highly drinkable, with balanced acidity.

An evening to remember

During the promotion of the event, both the Murviedro brand and the Sericis Cepas Viejas Pinot Noir Rosé have appeared in social media publications promoted by Olenda, the organising company.

Wine occupied a prominent place at the event, with this Sericis being one of the stars of the night. At the reception, where the diners were welcomed, a roll-up banner and pole sign were installed with the Bodegas Murviedro brand image. The winery’s corporate video was also shown on screens in the room.

The Night of the Senses was an evening to remember – a gastronomic experience attended by a target audience which enjoys a certain lifestyle. It also turned out to be an excellent platform to provide visibility for high-quality gourmet products.
