A Gold Medal and “Best of Show – Valencia – in retail markets” for Murviedro Colección Reserva at the Mundus Vini summer tasting in Germany, where Murviedro Cepas Viejas Bobal was also awarded a Gold Medal
Requena, 26 September 2024.- Bodegas Murviedro is celebrating the extraordinary results obtained in the recent Mundus Vini 2024 Grand International Wine Awards.
At its summer tasting, a jury of 250 international wine specialists from the fields of distribution, hospitality, wine production, specialist journalists and recommenders met in the German city of Pfalz for six days to assess hundreds of wines from around the world, once again recognising the excellence of our wines.
Since 2015, when we began taking part in this prestigious competition, we have seen our wines win hearts as well as medals, being valued for their quality in international markets. This recognition is not only an achievement of the wines, it is a testament to the tireless work and passion of the entire team making up Bodegas Murviedro. From the vine to the barrel, and from
there to the most select tables, each bottle carries with it the effort of a team committed to excellence.
This year, we are especially honoured to announce that Murviedro Cepas Viejas Bobal 2020 has been awarded a Gold Medal, recognition that reaffirms the quality of the vines most firmly rooted in our land. But the excitement doesn’t end there. Murviedro Colección Reserva 2019 has not only won a Gold Medal, it has also been named “Best of Show (Valencia) in retail markets” for the second time. It was previously winner of the same award in 2017. This prestigious title is for the highest-rated wine in its category, an achievement that reaffirms the excellence of Bodegas Murviedro wines.
This “Best of Show” is a special recognition for the entire team, a symbol of the care and passion we put into every stage of the process. And this is not the first time one of our wines has achieved this honour. Since 2015, several of our wines have reached the top and shone, including Luna de Murviedro Organic Cava. Subsequently, Murviedro Arts de Luna Organic Brut Rosé Cava has twice received this award, in 2022 and 2023, and Sericis Cepas Viejas Bobal 2020, Murviedro Colección Crianza 2017 and DNA Murviedro Signature EKO 2017 have also been named Best of Show.
Each award and recognition is a celebration of the collective effort, dedication and love for wine that unites us all at Bodegas Murviedro. Because behind every medal there is a story, a team and a passion to share the best of our land with the world.
